MorganFranklin Corporation Appoints Richard Godfrey as Intelligence Practice Leader
McLean, Virginia – July 22, 2008
MorganFranklin Corporation, a professional services and solutions provider to government and business leaders on high-stakes financial, operational and IT issues, recently announced the appointment of Richard Godfrey as managing director of the company’s public sector intelligence practice.
Godfrey in his new role will be responsible for intelligence community business development and market growth. He has over 25 years of intelligence community experience supporting both domestic and overseas intelligence gathering programs. Godfrey has planned, developed, and directly managed concurrent, highly sensitive, covert activities throughout the intelligence community.
Before joining MorganFranklin, Godfrey served as vice president of intelligence solutions and advanced systems at SM Consulting Inc. where he had direct business development and program management oversight for $400 million in federal government contracts. Prior to that, he spent 20 years at the Central Intelligence Agency where he most recently served as chief of operations support. In that role, he directed inter-government agency programs with the primary mission of providing communication mediums in support of thwarting hostile foreign and domestic terrorist attacks against U.S. interests.
From 1983 to present, Godfrey has been awarded over 25 U.S. Government exceptional performance awards and commendations and he received his MS in information technology management from the University of Maryland.
“With Rick’s experience and track record of success, MorganFranklin is now equipped with the strategic leadership required to facilitate our natural expansion into the intelligence community market space,” said Rob Franklin, MorganFranklin’s president of public services.
